The U.S. Postal Service has announced new pricing adjustments scheduled to take effect on July 13, 2025.

These changes are part of the USPS’s 10-year “Delivering for America” plan, aimed at ensuring a sustainable and efficient postal service for the future.

Key highlights of the proposed changes include:

  • A 5-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, raising the cost from 73 cents to 78 cents
  • An overall price adjustment of approximately 7.4% for mailing services products
  • Price increases on Ground Advantage, Parcel Select, and Priority Mail

Prices for shipping products will increase as follows:

  • Ground Advantage will increase 7.1 percent
  • Parcel Select will increase 7.6 percent
  • Priority Mail will increase 6.3 percent

No price changes are being made to Priority Mail Express, Domestic Extra Services, International Ancillary Services, or International Products.

Additionally, USPS Ground Advantage Commercial packages will now be sealed against inspection, just like the Retail version. This change makes it easier for businesses to ship packages containing personal information (PII) while offering a lower-cost alternative to Priority Mail.
